Welcome to Vibrations of Metal - A Tribute to Dragonfly

-one of the greatest metal bands today-

This site is dedicated in particular to uncover contributions to good music made by non-English speaking bands. We have all felt the rhythm of big names such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath etc move us to the very core, rightfully earning the themselves titles of Veteran classics in this genre and have set a high threshold for the following generation to climb. Nonetheless, the fate of the old is to give way to the newborn as time moves on.

One particular band that has been fighting for it’s right to survive in a stream of music pouring out from all over the world is Dragonfly, a metal band from Spain. Their sound is unique and compelling with texts of worship of all that completes our lives and colours it with the laughter and tears that give us memories; shattered love, hatred, abandonment, the will to live and the will to move on. The entire spectrum of human emotions enveloped in skillfully produced sounds completed in two albums “Domine” and “Alma Irae”, and a third album is under production.

The analogy of a Dragonfly is striking considering the history of the band. From its initial larval stage on the familiar grounds of Spanish-speaking countries, the Dragonfly has matured into adolescence and stands before a period of growth, which is paid in sweat and pain. The band has increasing fame, gained appreciation and have appeared in all kinds of media. They have in particular been asked to hold shows and their concerts are now extending farther and farther away from native land. However, the competition is fierce on stage of life, but although fragile in its appearance, this carnivorous predator is relentlessly fighting for its right to survive and thereby proving itself worthy to start off on the path set by the veterans. Truly, Dragonfly has earned its right to be seen on a larger scale and larger stage, but the language barriers can still be a slight setback to reach a bigger audience. Why let the world miss out on a magnificent newcomer?

Thus, as a tribute to a great band, this site has the purpose of exposing Dragonfly to the English speaking world. Here you will find information regarding the history and present of the band, past and future concerts, discography, photos, individual projects of the band members, translated lyrics, links to relevant sites and contact information.
